The Basset Hound Club of Greater Seattle

to the Web site of the Basset Hound Club of Greater Seattle. It was founded in 1963 as a non-profit organization by the Basset Hound enthusiasts of the Pacific Northwest. We have a diverse membership and welcome new members who share our interest and enthusiasm in the Basset Hound breed.

The goals of the Club are:

To encourage and promote the breeding of pure bred Basset Hounds and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection.

To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which Basset Hounds shall be judged.

To do all in its power to promote and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, obedience trials and field trials.

To conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows, obedience trials and field trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club.
